Spaces

As a set designer influenced by the Modernism art movement, my style is deeply rooted in African drama and theatre. My creative development in Southern Africa, namely Zimbabwe, South Africa and Mozambique constantly exposes me to new environments, further shaping my artistic vision. I aim to create syncretic narratives that incorporate Western colonial influences.

”A LAND OF PERMANENT
GOODBYES”
Based on A powerful novel
of refugees escaping from
war-torn Syria, masterfully
told by a journalist who
witnessed the crisis
firsthand. In a country
ripped apart by war, Tareq
lives with his big and loving
family. . . until the bombs
strike. His city is in ruins.
His life is destroyed. And
those who have survived
are left to figure out their
uncertain future

How i work

I am an enthusiastic Set Designer who is a respectful, hardworking, team player, well-organized, goal-driven, positive, and honest individual.

As a set designer and scenic artist, I prefer doing research on concepts in order to develop original designs. Draw my concepts based on the research. Develop the drawings into design documents (floor plans, painter's elevation, and a perspective drawing). then render the final designs and build a scale model if necessary. lastly, managing the design from concept to manifestation.
