where my passion for stage management, set design, and scenic art brings the magic of theatre to life.
My name is Innocent Tshimbufe. I am a 25-year-old Theatre Technician; Stage Manager, Set Designer, and Scenic Artist based in Pretoria, South Africa. I am passionate about transforming creative concepts into compelling, technically sound performances. With a proven track record in delivering high-quality work under pressure, I bring a unique blend of artistic sensibility, practical skill, and unwavering professionalism to every project.
I hold both a Diploma and an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts (Technical Theatre and Design) from Tshwane University of Technology, both awarded cum laude. My academic journey, combined with hands-on experience across drama, dance, musical theatre, opera, and children’s theatre, has equipped me with the versatility and precision required in fast-paced production environments.
My technical toolkit includes Stage Management, Set Design, Scenic Art, Carpentry, Welding, and Prop Fabrication. I have consistently applied these skills in a wide range of professional and academic settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on both small and large-scale productions. These experiences have shaped my ability to think critically, adapt quickly, and deliver creative solutions with efficiency and confidence.
Employers will find in me a committed and proactive team player with a strong work ethic and a deep respect for artistic collaboration. I am highly organized, communicate effectively across departments, and take pride in delivering work that enhances both the visual impact and the storytelling quality of every production. My leadership background as a House Prefect during my school years at Prince Edward School reflects my reliability, discipline, and ability to inspire trust and cohesion among peers.
